Poke Berry Oxymel
Poisonous Plant Awareness:
Poke medicine is considered safe when engaged with boundaries, understanding & respect of dosage, as well as attention to the body’s response to the plant. Although like with any poisonous plant, I invite you to do your own research regarding the affinities, abilities, effects, & cautions around this plant, as it is always best practice to do our own research with poisonous medicine.
Poke Berry Oxymel is a delicious & beautifully pink grief companion swift in moving the lymph, clearing of toxins in the body, moving emotional stagnation, & lifting up the energy into a clearer place. Honored by delicious local California honey and tonifying to the body by way of apple cider vinegar’s delicious properties.
Poke Bush is a powerful & poisonous friend who has a potent medicinal lineage throughout North America that I am honored to be called into. I am both humbled & tickled to offer my stewardship in the spirit of Poke Bush’s work on this earth.
Since Poke Bush has the tendency to be shrouded in fear & mystery, along with many other poisonous plant companions, this beautiful oxymel brings a joyful glimmer to me in its paradox. How can a poison who evokes fear for our life be so beautiful & uplifting in its impact? This is the joy of this oxymel. I invite you to trust in the possibility of your emotional & mental bodies who have been distant, in fear, & heavy with grief. Poke Berry Oxymel offers a delicious opportunity to face your fear a few drops at a time. Poke Berry Oxymel brings movement & possibility to our heaviness so that we may find our wisdom & action.
Poke Berry is a expellant who has a strong affinity for moving the upper lymphatic system such of the head, face, chest, armpit, neck, throat, ect. Poke Berry medicine has a lower cautionary risk regarding over exposure than its root medicine (which should be taken in researched drop dosage), especially a low concentration oxymel such as this. Low concentration with Poke does not mean less powerful by any means, but rather in good boundaries.
All seeds & skin from the berries have been removed from this medicine.
Recommended dosage: a few drops to 1 tablespoon. I do not recommend exceeding a tablespoon, although it is considered safe to take up to 1 ounce at this concentration level.
The offering size varies largely, with multiple sliding scale options for each size. If you are curious, but still nervous, there is a ½ ounce bottle intended for drop dosage.
